BERTHAJU is a female-gaze indie rock band from Rotterdam. With songs about old white men getting divorced and caring less about what other people think, BERTHAJU delivers a full-on live show packed with choreographies, chaos, and a bass player who might break his legs mid-jump. BERTHAJU doesn’t leave the stage until everyone is sweating and dancing their ass off.

2025 marked a big year for the band. BERTHAJU played over 35 shows, including their first UK tour at the beginning of the year, and was selected for Popronde 2025, racking up more than 20 bookings across the Netherlands.

Along the way, they supported acts such as Bilk, Min Taka, and Overpass, further cementing their reputation as a must-see live band.

In October 2025, BERTHAJU released their second self-written and self-produced EP, Tickets To The Cinema.

Diving deeper into their indie rock era, the record radiates unapologetic female energy and celebrates independence in every possible way. The release also marked BERTHAJU’s vinyl debut, now available at shows and online.

In 2026, BERTHAJU shows no signs of slowing down. The band is already working on new music for spring/summer 2026.
